Eliot's Place, 75 Godiva Street, Wednesday Night

For the past eleven days (but who was counting?) Hardison had...not been himself. Instead, he'd been a teddy bear, lugged around in Eliot's messenger bag or cuddled--yes! cuddled!--by Eliot whenever he was at home. In point of fact, Hardison was still a teddy bear and Eliot had dragged him around outside today, into the preserve, surrounded by bugs and pollen and all sorts of nonsense. Hardison!bear hadn't had to deal with it, exactly, being a stuffed bear and all and yet--

Well, Hardison-bear was feeling quite discontented. Inasmuch as a teddy bear could be disgruntled about anything. His Wuv you's were getting snippy and his Beary muches were downright snarky. Funny, for how much Hardison was a living Care Bear when he was himself, he was certainly aggravated by being relegated to such now.

[For the crew, please!]

"We're all even now. Right? Right?" Parker double-checked with the guys, leaning into Hardison. "Are you getting cold? Should we be putting you in bed with covers? I think we need to do that."

"You've been a ferret twice," Eliot pointed out, relief giving over to his usual relaxed grumpiness. "And -- man -- you turned into a teddy bear. I think I got one up over both of ya."

"That last one. You can't warm up in a bed by yourself," Parker said emphatically, tugging on his hand, grinning. To Eliot, she said, "Don't get hurt or crazy for a year, and you can turn into a wolf if you really want to. For a week. If Hardison is okay with that. And Megabyte."

Hardison was back, Val was now Megabyte again!

"You're going to give my dog an identity crisis." Grump grump grump.

"She loves us giving her more names," Parker shamelessly decided, drag-hugging Hardison toward the stairs. "Even if they're not in Dog." Leaning close to Hardison she gave him another squeeze and whispered, "He's grumpy again! Not depressed! It's so good you're back!"
